Doors Open Ontario

National Historic Site, Delta, Old Stone Mill, Maple Syrup Festival

Doors Open Ontario is a province-wide celebration of architecture and our built environment. It takes place from spring through fall in communities across Ontario, giving visitors the chance to tour buildings (including some not normally open to the public) and learn their stories. The event is a project of the Ontario Heritage Trust.

Spencerville Mill tours

There have been mills on this site on the South Nation River since the early 1800s. Today, you can take a free tour of the restored mill in July and August (and other times by appointment), learning about the history of Spencerville and the mechanics of milling. Throughout the summer, the mill also hosts concerts and other special events.

Northern Lights is a family-friendly multimedia show projected onto the Centre Block on Parliament Hill. In 2017, it is running nightly (weather permitting) from July 11 to September 16. Ignore the times above (my events calendar requires me to put in something, but the times vary by month). The show actually starts at 10pm in July, 9:30pm in August and 9pm in September.
