If your idea of the perfect summer outing is a morning spent sniffing strawberries, sampling gluten-free cookies and chatting up farmers about the best ways to cook beets, you’re probably pretty familiar with your local farmers’ market. But if you’d like to shake up your weekly routine a bit, here are more than 45 farmers’ markets to check out within an easy drive of Ottawa (some are inside the city itself). But be forewarned: You may acquire some new tastes that will require regular road trips to satisfy!

I think the one on Centrum Boulevard isn’t running anymore, unfortunately. The one in Cumberland is on the list, though. Or is there another one I’m missing?

The Almonte farmers market is not on the Library parking lot starting this year. It is now on the OVRT (Ottawa Valley Recreation Trail) next to the library.
