In this year’s edition on Sunday, March 30, local writer, explorer and raconteur James Raffan will be presenting his latest show, The Accidental Canadian. This blend of stories, images, songs and humour will paint pictures of the incredible places Raffan has discovered over 50 years of rambling across Canada’s Arctic.

Meanwhile, Rue Principale in downtown Aylmer is the scene for Le Vieux-Aylmer se Sucre le Bec (March 29 and 30), a weekend-long celebration of all things maple. Enjoy live entertainment as you shop for syrup and more.

P.S.: Don’t miss my big guide to local sugar bushes to find out where else you can enjoy maple syrup this spring.

The next tour nights are March 28 and 29. Even though the tour is free, you should go online to reserve a spot if you’re interested. The viewing area is in Erinsville, just south of where Highway 7 intersects with Highway 41 in Kaladar, Ontario.

Hi Laura. I am heading up publicity for an arts group in Ottawa, called Art Lending of Ottawa. We are thirty local artists and we have four shows a year at the R.A. Centre. Is there a way that I can have our event mentioned in your list. Our Holiday Art Show is on Dec. 16th. Let me know and I could send you description of the event. Thanks
