Wondering how to mark New Year’s Eve in Ottawa? Here’s the scoop on all kinds of end-of-the-year parties in Ottawa and beyond, including Eastern Ontario, Gatineau and the wider Outaouais. However you want to enjoy the occasion—with a bit of family fun, a concert, a masquerade party or even a pilates class—here are LOTS of ideas for your Ottawa New Year’s Eve 2025!
New Year’s Eve in Ottawa 2025–2026

- Ottawa Christmas Market fireworks: For the first time this year, the Ottawa Christmas Market at Lansdowne Park is hosting a New Year’s Eve party. Check out the last night of the market, skate or dance to DJ music, and enjoy fireworks at midnight.
- Hogmanay Ceilidh 2025: This is the Scottish Society of Ottawa’a biggest party of the year. Modelled on Hogmanay, the traditional New Year’s Eve celebration in Scotland, it features Highland dancers, Celtic music, haggisand more. The main event starts at 5:30pm and runs until 1am. NOTE: It’s at a new location (Blessed Sacrament Church Hall in the Glebe) this year.
- All That Glitters: The big party at the Hard Rock Casino starts at 10am on December 31 and continues into the wee hours of New Year’s Day with live music, giveaways, dining and more.
- New Year’s Eve Comedy Night: This is the 14th annual end-of-the-year comedy night at the Shenkman Arts Centre in Orleans. If you’re keen, I’d buy your tickets ASAP, as it often sells out. This year’s headliners are Rob Pue, Cassie Cao and Hisham Kelati.
- A White Rabbit New Year’s Eve: The City at Night club in Centretown has a big celebration planned with house and tech-house spun by DJs Rick Laplante, Tone A and Brink.
- NYE Masquerade Ball: The Findlay Creek Community Association is throwing a bash at the Fred Barrett Arena. The fun will include music, a photo booth, a cash bar, appetizers and complimentary midnight bubbly. Masks and cocktail attire encouraged.
- NYE 2026 at The Show: VIP bottle service, party favours and 500 partiers are the recipe for New Year’s Eve at The Show club in the ByWard Market.
- Angels and Demons: A blessed and possessed New Year’s: This celebration at Club SAW is billed as “Ottawa’s queerest NYE party.” Enjoy DJs, dancing, drag performances and more.
- New Year’s Eve With The Start: At Overflow Brewing, you can enjoy a snack buffet, ’80s music by local band The Start, party favours and champagne.
- Lowertown Keg Party: Champagne not your style? At Lowertown Brewery’s Keg Party, you can dance to hits of 2025 all evening and then raise a beer toast at midnight.
- New Year’s Eve Dinner: Perspectives Restaurant at the Brookstreet Hotel in Kanata is serving a five-course dinner featuring dishes such as roasted parsnip velouté with birch syrup glaze and halibut with smoked mussel butter.
- New Year’s Eve Disco Bash: The Electric Company will be playing live for the crowd at the Rainbow Bistro in the Byward Market. Dress to impress with 1970s bling.
- Dinner and Velvet Masquerade Party: Speakeasy Tapas Lounge’s event includes a three-course dinner with live music, followed by a masquerade DJ party with an unlimited open bar, unlimited hors d’oeuvres and a midnight burlesque show.
- Zoe’s New Year’s Eve: Zoe’s Restaurant at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier Hotel is serving a three-course meal featuring choices such as roasted beet carpaccio and maple-glazed quail.
- New Year’s Eve Masquerade and Dressup: Organized by social/dating club Over40CONNECT, this bash in Hintonburg promises champagne, canapés, glam photos and DJ tunes. Dress code: fancy.
- New Year’s Eve Retreat: You don’t have to see out the New Year with a rowdy party! If you’re looking for something more serene, Strong Pilates is offering a daytime retreat featuring yoga, meditation, vision boarding and Pilates.
- Condor Lounge New Year’s Eve: At the Condor Lounge in Orleans, you can dance your way to midnight.
- New Year’s Eve 2025 Gala: At NeXT in Stittsville, this party features appetizers, two cocktails, a plated tasting dinner, dancing to DJ tunes and prosecco at midnight.
Ring in 2025 in the Outaouais

- Casino Lac-Leamy celebrations: The festivities at the casino include live music and a midnight countdown. You can add the buffet at Banco for an extra fee. This is one of the region’s latest NYE parties, with the festivities continuing until 5am.
- New Year’s Eve Party: The Chelsea Pub and La Cocktailerie in Chelsea are holding a combined New Year’s Eve party with DJ and live music, canapés, and bubbly.
- Come As You Are New Year’s Eve: New Year’s fun at the Motel Chelsea includes and optional dinner and a big party with music from the last 70 years by Dave Bignell and the Five Star Connection.
- Retro-Chic New Year’s Eve: The party at Kato, the Japanese fusion restaurant at the Hôtel Château Cartier in Gatineau, includes DJ tunes and a midnight glass of bubbly; you can also order from the regular à la carte menu.
- New Year’s Eve at the Mill: The Wakefield Mill Inn and Spa in Wakefield is hosting a New Year’s celebration that features a four-course dinner, canapés, sparkling wine at midnight and a DJ disco party.
Celebrate New Year’s 2026 in Eastern Ontario

- Beckwith Township’s New Year’s Eve Family Fireworks: The family-friendly celebrations in Beckwith Park, on the edge of Carleton Place, will run from 4pm to 7pm. The fun includes a free skate, horse-drawn sleigh rides, a bonfire and food; fireworks at 6pm.
- Frew Year’s Eve: This all-ages event is actually held on the morning of December 31 at the Ma-te-way Activity Centre in Renfrew. Free activities include ice skating, a continental breakfast, a magic show, crafts, face painting, a pizza lunch and a “noon year’s eve” countdown.
- Brockville New Year’s Eve Church Concerts: Since 1991, a group of Brockville churches has celebrated the turning of the calendar with a packed night of concerts. This year, the music ranges from classical and bluegrass to Celtic and rock (one duo favours the music of U2).
- New Year’s Eve Party: The Civitan Club of Perth’s party features live music by Limit, a light late-night meal, party favours, a balloon drop and more.
- New Year’s Eve Party with River City Junction: The Cove Inn in Westport is offering a grand buffet, party favours, a midnight toast, and blues, Motown, R&B/funk and classic rock by River City Junction.
- K-Town Countdown: This free, family-friendly event at the INVISTA Centre in Kingston offers activities for all ages, including a DJ skate, a separate sensory skate (with dimmed lights and no music), face painting, visits with animals and more.
- New Year’s Levee: Note that this event at the Kemptville Legion is on New Year’s Day, from noon to 4pm. It will include music by Spencer Scharf and the Kemptville Legion Pipes and Drums Band, and a light lunch.
