You can get a deal on a three-course meal at participating Outaouais restaurants in November during L’Outaouais au menu!

The promotion is a new initiative from Tourisme L’Outaouais. Twenty restaurants throughout the region will be offering special prix-fixe menus for dine-in dinner customers on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from November 9 to November 18. The price will be $59 per person, before tax and tip, for an appetizer, main and dessert.

It’s a great chance to discover a new-to-you restaurant or to revisit an old favourite, in communities throughout the Outaouais. Here are the participating restaurants.

  • Aux Chantignoles (Montebello)
  • Bistro CoqLicorne (Gatineau)
  • Café Downtown (Fort-Coulonge)
  • Café Le Hibou (Wakefield)
  • Caméline (Gatineau)
  • Comptoir Sushi à la maison (Gatineau)
  • L’Huile d’Olive (Bouchette)
  • La Maison du Village (Wakefield)
  • La Squadra (Gatineau)
  • Le Bistro Montebello (Montebello)
  • Le Café du Bistrot (Saint-André-Avellin)
  • Le Cellier (Gatineau)
  • Le Napoléon Bistronomie Québécoise (Montebello)
  • Le Quai Chic Taverne (Gatineau)
  • Oiseau Bleu Marché-Café (Chelsea)
  • Pärlē – Bistro ludique (Gatineau)
  • Resto Bistro Rumeur (Gatineau)
  • Soif Bar à Vin (Gatineau)
  • Souche-i (Montebello)
  • Spritz (Gatineau)

Lots of enthusiasm

“I think it’s a magnificent project,” said Isabel Thériault, co-owner of Bistro CoqLicorne, which hosted the launch of L’Outaouais au menu. She noted that her chef’s prix-fixe menu for the event highlights local Outaouais ingredients, such as pork tenderloin from Ferme Robitaille and mushrooms from Ferme Le Coprin.

Tourisme Outaouais CEO Julie Kinnear explained that the promotion was inspired by the very successful MTLàTABLE initiative, which now includes more than 100 restaurants across the Montreal region. “They were very generous in sharing advice with us.”

The project’s organizers hope L’Outaouais au menu will draw people to restaurants during what can be a slow time of year, and that it will help them discover restaurants that they’ll return to after the promo is over. Kinnear also noted that the initiative includes restaurants in smaller Outaouais communities (such as Bouchette, Fort-Coulonge and Saint-André-Avellin) that might be less familiar to Ottawa residents than such well-known places as Montebello and Chelsea.

See the menus and make a plan

You can check out the menus for all of the participating restaurants at the L’Outaouais au menu website, then make your reservations directly with your chosen restaurant. Bon appetit!
