The Upper Canada Playhouse in Morrisburg, Ontario, is a 275-seat professional theatre founded in 1983. The building was once a factory that made toothbrushes and socks—something you’d never know by looking at it!
Nowadays, the theatre presents a summer season of plays from June through September, usually including several crowd-pleasing comedies. It also hosts a summer theatre school for kids. During the rest of the year, it presents a holiday play, children’s theatre, concerts and other shows. In addition, the building is home to the St. Lawrence Acoustic Stage, which produces its own series of concerts from fall through spring.
