One of the most frequent questions I get here at Ottawa Road Trips is “How do I get to such-and-such a destination without a car?”
Believe me, I sympathize with the question, as my husband and I voluntarily lived without a car for seven years!
So here’s some good news for all of you who don’t drive, don’t have a car or would simply like to leave the driving to others: A company called Parkbus is offering round-trip bus transportation to Algonquin Park on the weekend of September 22 to 24, 2017.
This isn’t a tour; the bus drops passengers at trailheads, outfitters, campgrounds and other convenient spots, and then you’re on your own until it comes back on Sunday. The round-trip fare from Ottawa is $79 for adults, and there are other fares for seniors, students and children.

I plan to go to Algonquin Park from Ottawa,at the day of 2nd or 3rd of the Oct.No park bus at that time,and I can not drive,please advice me how to get there.Thanks
Public transit options from Ottawa to Algonquin Park are really limited, unfortunately. Your best bet might be to contact an outfitter, such as Barry’s Bay Outfitters (http://www.barrysbayoutfitters.com/). They might be able to arrange a shuttle, or at least suggest alternatives. Sorry not to be more help.
